Hey guys. I have had my '04 In the shop over the last year more than ive driven it probaly. After the last time, i had the in tank conversion kit for the fuel pump, and all 6 injectors replaced. It seems as if it is getting power as quick, or as much as it should. I drive my buddy's '04 sometimes, and is seems to respond a whole lot faster and with a lot more power than mine..... Its like the turbo isn't spooling up..... quick enough... any ideas....????

 

I have an early '04 myself and I thought it was very dead in power. It looks like the '03 and early '04 had this issue. I just got a Smarty Jr and it all went away. I also cleaned my MAP sensor cause it threw a code (before the Smarty was installed) and that did not help either, but the code went away. Yeah, its not the cheapest, but looking at it now it was worth every penny.

What is the manufacture date of your truck?

 

It never had the problem before I took it in the last couple times though. And the manufactured date is July of 2004. So it is an early.... not '04 1/2
