Do you have a programmer on the truck? Was it low on fuel? Did you run it outta fuel? Any fuel on the engine block around the injection lines?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- P0148-HIGH PRESSURE COMMON RAIL (HPCR) CHECKSUM For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Section 8W. [ul][*]When Monitored: While the engine is running.[*]Set Condition: A deviation between the fuel pressure set point and the actual fuel pressure.[/ul] Possible Causes OTHERS DTC'S PRESENT-- FUEL LEAKS-- FUEL CONTROL ACTUATOR-- FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR--- CASCADE OVERFLOW VALVE--- CHECK VALVE DAMAGED OR BLOCKED--- FUEL RETURN LINES OBSTRUCTION, DAMAGE, OR DEBRIS--- LIFT PUMP FLOW--- AIR IN FUEL SYSTEM--- LEAKING FUEL INJECTORS OR HIGH PRESSURE CONNECTORS--- PRESSURE LIMITING VALVE--- HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP |
How does the truck idle? Does in run rough or miss?

I have also just replaced the fuel injectors and was wondering if the fuel cross over tubes could be leaking and causing the code but if they were leaking I thought it would be hard to start. There are no symptoms just the code. I have cleared it repeatedly trying different things. but it still sets the code.

The crossover tubes could cause this as well, but as you said it should hard start unless it is a minute amount

Does anyone know where I can find a mechanical fuel pressure test kit for this 2006 5.9L Cummins?
