Cummins Lope

My truck has recently developed a lope, only in the morning and only before the truck comes to operationg tempture. ( its not cold here ever Im in Hawaii) The truck also dosent run worth a crap above 1800rpms either during this time, its seems like its missing and it pops and its just fricking frustrating. Have changed fuel filters 3 times now no change added two cans of sea foam and 2 bottles of diesel kleen and still no change, Any ideas?

have you tried removing the predator or MP-8 to see if there is a change? Sounds like an issue with fuel delivery... it would be nice to know what your rail pressure is.... too much rail pressure can cause the lope your describing...

Do you have any way to test your rail pressure?

Currently have a gauge on order, as far as the problem lies somewhere in the preadator cause when i resort back the the canned tunes instead of my custom tunes its fine. Is there any way to measure rail pressure in the mean time until my gauge arrives?

Ok so played with my predator and found out what one monitors rail pressure and a steady base line at idle is 36.35-37.25 mb or mp something like that and goes up to 101-102 when its at full throttle, according to the predator there is no change in pressure when its cold other than it will peak out at about 66.44-67.05 and after that it will miss and pop like crazy, still trying to figure out exactly how it gets these numbers but no luck....

that reading is in Mega pascals or Mpa

convert it to PSI, the your rail pressures should be between 26000 and 30000psi :pca1:

ok so what if the rail pressure is too low can that make the problem occur and if so what is the remedy injectors or a injection pump...

could be a bad FPR on the CP3, or it could be the CP3 itself
