2001 Ppump 24 valve engine in a 2005 RAM 3500 ?
2 Attachment(s)
I had a deal I coud not let go on a 2005 RAM 3500 today, so now, it's mine !
The engine have a bad cylinder, smoke when it's cold and lots of blowby, bad injector ? broken ring ? melted piston ? I dont really care ! I plan on swapping my 2001 built Ppump 24 valve engine in the new truck. The question is, what do I need to do to get the electronic (cluster and factory gauges) to work ? Thanks Attachment 20460 Attachment 20461 |

I think you keep the common rail ecm so it can read the sensors and send the info to the gauges. Get a hold of Zach West,he is a member on here and is working on putting a 12 valve in his '03.

Especially after over 600 hours of work to get the thing to run and look like this !!! The engine was built by me a couple years ago, so far so good ! Still all together and in one piece, and see 70 lbs of boost mostly everyday !!! |
