Are you talking about the 7.3 IDI? We were talking about the 7.3 PowerStroke.

i think if i had to chose between the 7.3s id get the idi cuz they are a old slug that wont die and all mechanical. but obviously cummins all the way. thats if i was stuck on a deserted island and had to pick between the two lol :pca1:

sorry it took so long to get back to ya but i honestly didnt like anything about the 7.3L I may just be used to the cummins though but imho with the pulling i do the 7.3 took forever to get going, lacked ALOT in torque and power, mileage sucked, interior was crappy, etc etc. I use my trucks for pulling everday and the 7.3 just couldnt do what i needed it to do needless to say i just sold it to guy a guy for dirt cheap 6,000 and i ended up getting an 03 qclb 130,000 miles on it and only paid $13,000 for it and let me tell you its good to be back in a cummins baby:choochoo:

And dont get me wrong im not knocking the ford but for me it was just to under powered and i didnt want to spend a sh*t ton of money on it to equal what my cummins could do stock.
