Differences Between The 04.5-05 Edge And The 06 Edge.
 

What is the actual differences between the 2?

I have heard you can run the 04.5 in an 06 without problems, but then I have been told you can't by others.

Reason I ask is that I have a friend who just upgraded, and wants to know if he can use his old edge in his new truck.

The injector connectors are way different between the two. Also, the 06 trucks' ECU communicates differently off of a CAN BUS than the 04.5-05. A harness plugs into the OBD2 port under the steering wheel for the 06 but not on the earlier models. I would say the PCB's are different as well. I think he's out of luck for sure.
