Coolant change

Figure it was time to change it. Drained it out of rediator, put in water, started up and ran for bit then drained out again. Filled up with water again, started, heat wouldn't heat up so drove for a sec then drained again. Put water in again, drove around for sec to heat up then drained again. Then put in prestone. Is this good enough or did I do everything wrong?

seems good enough to me one thing i did on my powerstroke in high school when an injector sleeve busted and i got diesel fuel in my radiator was put a cap full or to of dish washer soap in it and let it run with the dish washer soap it doesnt sud so you dont have to worry about that and it will break up the oil and grim in the coolant system then do a couple fills with water to rinse and add your coolant worked great for me then and still do it now

I would add coolant conditioner
