i was wondering if it is possible to P-pump a 2004 Common Rail? If so what are the pro's N con's?

I'm not sure what you mean by p-pump, but i hope you are talking a propane conversion, which I am curious about myself. It is almost to the point where peanut oil from the grocery store is cheaper than diesel. I would like to see a natural gas conversion.

There is one company that makes a conversion kit but it's so pricy I'd just modify the common rail stuff less smoke more pressure and better mileage. Plus it's tunable were if you were to p-pump it it would just run however the pump is set up.

It's the mechanic injection pump for the 12v trucks. A lot of pullers and high hp 24v 2nd gen trucks do away with the vp44 in order to get the power and reliability ;)

Yep...I see no reason to p-pump a CR truck unless you were doing nothing but hardcore drag/pulling and knew what you were tuning it for.

a CR can be set up just as well as a p-pump for 1000hp and you could still drive to the store and get your groceries with it:tu:
