Are the injectors the same on.......

Are the injectors the same for a 03 Dodge 5.9 HO engine as for a regular 03 5.9 engine or do the different rate hp engines require different injectors?

Should be interchangeable, its more about what the ECM commands for fuel then the injector, the Injector on a CR just opens, for as long as the ECM wants, the fuel comes from the rail.... I dont think they have different sized nozzles

Red_Rattler 03-02-2011 04:37 PM

Its all in the programing...

hey Red Rattler, are you pretty confident 'bout the differences in std. vs h.o. internals and/or programming?

Red_Rattler 03-06-2011 11:12 AM

We're talking just injectors here and yes I am why?

dieseldean 03-06-2011 02:40 PM

i have heard so many "facts' about the differences...from injectors, to the tune, diff compression-diff turbo. the only visible difference is the exhaust- no cat or resonator.

oh , and I agree- a cummins built truck wold be badass.

There are internal differences form HO to SO. There are programming differences from HO to SO.

Turbo is the same, injectors are the same, pretty much all the external parts are the same. All the differences are where you cannot see them.

Injectors are the same
