had my line going to my hydraulic booster crack and couldn't get the part for a week. wrapped the crack w/ sewing thread and superglued it hasn't leaked since.

Ya well thats why I dont own my 2007 jeep rubicon that I bought brand new anymore (first new vehickle I ever bought for myself). The hydrolic clutch went bad after only 15k miles. I brought it to my local dealer, and they didnt even want to look at it, the figured it was the clutch plate, now me, I didnt just fall off the turnup truck yesterday. I knew it wasnt the clutch but since it was still under warentee I brought it in so they could have a look at it. Ofcourse they were quick to inform me that a new clutch wasnt covered by the warentee, and I was like but it has less than 15k miles on it.
Well next time I was in Texas where I bought it, I brought it to the dealer where I bought it. They were at least willing to take it for a test drive. The mechanic brought it back after a few minuites, and said he hadent experienced the problem I had described. I said did you drive it in traffic "no" I said common Im comming with you. Well he experienced it this time, and when we got back he staeted troubleshooting the problem.

Turns out that the hydrolic clutch master cylinder was bad. It was covered by the warentee, however there wernt any spares in the system anywhere in the country, and the manufacturer of the part wasnt making them any more. GREAT right.

So I went back home, and traded it in.

Although I had the Rubicon, I was seriously disappointed with it. Terrible milage 17mpg on the highway, soft top wind noise, kids didnt like to ride in it, had to buy a trailer so I could haul anything. So I wasnt too sorry to see it go.

let me guess it was a "dealer item". if the dealer can't stock it and actually get within a timely manner they should let somebody else make it.
