2004 high idle
 
i have a 2004 cummins and i am wondering how to control the high idle. it already high idles when its really cold but i wannabe able to control it and turn on and off when i want not just when its extremely cold. thanks for the help guys!!

I've never seen it done before, but I think this is the procedure:
In Park, park brake depressed. Push and hold the Cruise on button until it idles up. Use accel and decel buttons to increase and decrease the RPM. There may be another step, but I'm not 100% sure.

you have to have that feature turned on by a smarty or a dealership... and then i dont think it has anything to do with the brakes... but i'm not sure..

I believe you will need to ground pin # 22 first. Mine is an auto, but there are instructions out there on how to accomplish this.....it can be done on an 04.

so i just need to ground that wire and just have it enabled at dealership and im good to go?

I have a 07 and I can idle up with cruise like RA Williams always works for me and my truck is stock.

Depends on what your build date is. If it is before Dec 10 2003, you will need either a flash to the ECU or possibly a new ECU.
