fuel system problem
replaced external fuel pump on 2003 3500 4x4 dually truck will crank and idle but runs out of fuel when you rev truck up. you can prime fuel system and will crank again but does same thing when you rev truck up. can anyone help me with this?

I assume yer talkin bout the lift pump
sorry to see you go thru all this, the OEM lift pumps are crappy and need to be upgraded with after market like Airdog or Fass, there is also a belt drive unit out there called MITUSA that is great |

yes i'm talking about the lift pump. i wondered if i put a aftermarket hi pressure pump between the fuel tank and new lift pump would that fix my problem.

only want 8-10 psi of lift pressure as I understand it from PPE. I have FASS, works great. OEM went out and caused trouble. Yup on the side of the road. Get a pressure gauge, install it. Watch it..

When you get your engine started, adjust the timing , and then shut the engine off . After you will find that, now, it won't start... It is because the cam is far enough out of time that there is no compression when the spark fires. It's not going to start. When compression does occur, the spark just isn't there at the right time.
