Hydrogen in diesels

One of my buddies in Fl. has a homemade Hydrogen injection on his six cyl. jeep. Anyone know if it will work on diesels. His milage is over 30. It is a very neat setup.

There are people that have put up 1 million dollars to anyone who can prove there homemade Hydrogen generator works, I have yet to hear of anyone who has collected the million. . I'll go as far as to say that if he can prove it he can make him self a cool million dollars but doubt it.

Bunch of feel good BS.......your friend's results won't stand up to an unbiased examination.

he probably had a carburated jeep and converted it to run propane not hydrogen

we run a number of jeeps, toyotas on propane (its poor mans fuel injection)

Well, its not propane and its no secret. Its a homemade cannister that has leads from the battery to a coil in the cannister that creates heat, or a charge in a solution (I think it is baking soda though I'm not sure) where supposedly hydrogen gas is created. The gas rises through a hose into the body of the carb.
It has been a while since I saw the contraption.
I'm not defending his product or lunacy, I was just curious if any member had anything simular or experience in the matter.

Its not a new concept, the systems are aorund for purchase. About all I can see thta they do efficiently is put money in the sellers pocket.

The efficacy and cost ratio is usually where it ends. It simply does provide enough of an ROI to be worth it.

IIRC , the 6 cylinder jeeps will make 30 mpg under good circumstances. Not sure his mileage is very indicative of help.
