theres a place here in western pa that will sell everything to change from an auto to manual for 3500-4000 i think it includes everything except the drive shaft IIRC

i was wondering about this as well. can i mate a 4bt to a 48re or nv5600? or should i forget the 4bt and just put in a 5.9?
i need some pointers on this conversion |
A 4BT mates up to a Chevy transmission. You may get better info in the Diesel Conversion section. :tu:

I do qa g56 over the nv5600 they seem to shift smoother. And i did a zf6 swap into a ford in a weekend. If you have all the pieces they are not bad to do

Which should be used g56 or NV are rear end gears the same as a manual
|
is there any way to be able to use the stock ignition??
|
From what I hear the NV5600 is the way to go due to the simple fact that its a Cast Iron housing compared to the G56 which is in fact a Cast Aluminum housing. The Nv5600 is just stronger in general from what I hear.

Stronger doesn't mean jack if you can't get parts for them...being the NV5600 has been out of production for nearly ten years, the parts are getting more difficult to find. |
