clearance question

I have a 06 2500 can I mount 35-12.50-17 on stock rims and not have trouble with them on the my truck will it rub front of front or back of front or is it ok just not the best

NadirPoint 08-24-2010 04:17 PM

No, you're going to need at least 2" lift and 1/2" longer control arms would be a good idea too. The tires on my 07 measure 34.8 according to the manufacturer and with 2" lift still have a minor rub on the back fender corner on turning compression.

x2

It doesn't bother me though. It is only on real tight slow turns I notice it.

yes u can fit 35/12.50 on stock wheels with minimal rub like when hard down i ran 35 on mine for a year without trouble

you can just put a 2" leveling kit in and get the same clearance without the extra expence of a full lift

NadirPoint 08-25-2010 01:53 PM

Let me make just a minor spelling correction for you:

I have the spring spacers in mine, don't get me wrong. But you are headed for problems if you run those without the necessary supporting mods including the bare minimum of an adjustable or lengthened trackbar or a drop bracket for the stocker.

CHEMMINS 08-25-2010 02:37 PM

Yeah the spacer kits do give a bit of wobble. I don't find it that bad on mine, but everything on mine is tight....for now. Mine only happens around 45 mph.
