07 mega cab
 

hi everyone my dad wants to come back from the darkside and buy a dodge we are looking at a 07 Dodge 1ton Mega Cab Dually with the 5.9l cummins and a 6 speed its bone stock own buy a rich guy who only used it for pulling his camper it has 67000 miles on it and subtanial hail damage he wants $26000 for it just wanted to know if its a good buy and if there are any problems we should look for thanks in advance.

The trucks only worth $30,000-35,000 with no hail damage. So I think $26,000 is a bit high. Closer to $20,000 would be alot more reasonable.

A good price all depends on just how bad the hail damage is. I would take it to a local body shop and get an estimate and check with a paintless dent repair shop as well. If it's worth 30-35 and you pay 3,000-5,000 to fix it, then you're in the ballpark...

I think that is a little high - but with the damage I bet they will come down and also - many think that the 07 5.9 was the best year. Do the exact same mods to a 6.7 like exhaust, intake, high flow air filter and programmer from the same company on all and the 5.9 will make 100 horses and 200 ft lbs more. The 07 common rail really responds to mods. 67,000 miles in itself is not too many miles but the guy definetly did not do all those miles towing a camper.
