Another Cummins

I just got the call a couple hours ago about a 2005 Quad Cab 2500 SB 4x4 22k miles. Its the lighter of the two blue colors. Not my top choice in color, but I imagine it with dark windows and black wheels.

I had a thought...could you lower one of these trucks very much? They sit pretty low in the front as they are. If I removed the rear blocks it would be level, but can you go further than that? I checked all of my resourses, Belltech, and Ground Force, but no luck. I'm thinking a nice set of wheels and some Toyo Proxies for the drag strip. Lowering it may help the launch...maybe not? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

i'm not really sure..... the blocks should level it out but if you wanted lower you could do some shackles..... if not make some..... that's what i'm gonna do...... if you are into it for racing you might want to talk to Darren Morrison @ Pro Street Diesels in Cairo GA as he use to drag with a 4x4 but now he's going big boy racing in the Pro Stock truck....

Well, I went to see the truck tonight, and it already has a leveling kit done. I have to say it looks pretty darn good. Think I will leave the suspension alone. The darn thing is spotless. 22k miles, I have to go in the morning to finish paper work. It has a fiberglass bed cover painted to match.....not sure If I will keep that or not. It does look good, but functionality....I'm not sure. They gave me a real good price for my Ford with twice the miles. I'm real happy. Not sure what to do first. Since it has such low miles i will probably put in a Dunrite valve body to keep the trans in good shape. Probably a Quad box and Commander. Think I will leave it like that till spring. oh ya...kill the cat!

Its official. Gots me an 05 Cummins in the driveway! It was a 40 mile drive home and the trip meter claims 23.5 mpg. Is this correct? That blows me away! My 350 only seen 15 mpg on its best day, but it had 35's under it.

I added the smoke cab lights and SS grill. Picture sucks, but I was in a hurry.

Do we have a place to store pictures here? I Have alot of good customers over there. I can't complain, they are good to us.

I need to get better pics tomorrow. The black roof lights and black chrome Street Scene grill look sweet. If I can stay off the phone for a few hours tomorrow I'm going to attempt to tint the front side windows. UGH! Any pointers would be appreciated.

Is it just my truck or do the headlights suck on all of them? Without the driving lights on the headlights alone SUCK compared to my Ford. I pulled a set of Super Bright PIAA bulbs off the shelf. Hope to get them in tomorrow also.

Thanks
