Weak Suspension?

Took the truck in to the dealership for some warranty work today. They called back saying the truck was out of alignment and was due possibly to a pot hole. I may sound crazy guys but if this was due to a pot hole, our factory suspension is to cheap! I've never even hit anything with this truck that should cause my alignment to be out of wack. My 2nd gen hit thousands of pot holes, a tree (don't ask) and other things and never once did I have problem with it. Anyone else have this problem? What have you upgraded in the front so far?

sounds like yer dealer just tryn to pawn the bill off on you????

I would get a second opinion.
you should be able to tell if the alignment is off

i'd get a 2nd opinion too. i could see the toe-in being off but anything more than that i'd suspect they're trying to pull a fast one. ask for a copy of the print out. :U:

I agree my alignment is off, guess I should have mentioned that earlier. Excessive wear on the passenger side. They were so willing to give me a great deal on some bfg a/t for $900:booo:

If the title of this thread was "Ball Joints Toasted" I would say...the dealer is right. However, potholes can do some pretty harmful damage if hit hard enough. Watch Ujoints, Ball Joints, tie rod ends as the seem to fall apart without any help from potholes.

I thought straight axles were indestructibale.

indestructable no. Stronger than CV's yes. My old duramax went through about two sets of axles a year with the 8" lift and 37's.

trucks just dont go out of alignment. unless you hit a dithc or something big. you would remember.
