Whoever told you that was misinformed... :td:

You shouldn't have an EGR or a DPF on your 04.5. I know mine doesn't. EGR started with the Blue Tec diesels and the 6.7. If you have an EGR someone did something really wrong.

You should read the Cummins press releases, they specifically call out the in-cylinder EGR on the 04.5 engine when it released. Its there and nothings is wrong.

Removes the third event, the third event doesn't exist, blah, blah, blah. :D

So many opinions and guesses with a lack of hard proof. No wonder CR's melt down on a regular basis when pushed hard. :lol88:

I realize there is one in cylinder but I was answering the question stated foremost. He simply said EGR as though is was like a newer truck where you can get the EGR block off or delete.

He asked to remove the EGR on his truck, no indications of year or anything just how to remove it. You were the one that insisted it didn't exist, started with the 6.7, and brought up the DPF which doesn't apply. You didn't answer his question, just intimated something was wrong.

Red_Rattler adequately addressed the issue and what needs to be done.
