Rail pressure gauge
I've never messed with one since this is my first modded common rail and would like to put one in my truck but first i would kinda like to know how they work, how do they hook up, and also who makes one? Does autometer make them cause I currently have phantom gauges in my truck and I would really like them to match... Thanks in advance for any info or advice y'all have to share

Good question. I had one on my 99CTD and it was easy to install. Now you have me wondering!!!!:humm:

they tap into the electrical signal sent from the existing rail pressure sending unit. its full electronic.
i dont think autometer makes them |
I had a fuel pressure gauge on my 02 to make sure I had enough fuel goin to the injection pump but since that truck didn't have a fuel rail I didn't have to worry about a gauge for it so I'm clueless on this one

Yeah you'll hook into the existing wiring. There are guages that can handle 25,000 psi but they are big and you don't want that in the cab anyway!!

quadzilla sells a rail presure gauge if your looking for one to go in the truck

Autometer, ISSPRO, and DiPricol all make a rail pressure gauge that plugs into the existing sensor and uses it.
Quad, EJA, Outlook monitors all read the ECU data stream for rail pressure also. |
