Mine just partially slipped off the power steering pulley today, just 2 rings over. Enough to make is squawk. NOt sure if something hit it to knock it over or whether I should be watching for the problems mentioned????

Thanks for all the helpful info. I just got mine back from the body shop and they were freaking out because it ate 1 of the ribs of the belt. I told em dont worry she has 7 more to go. This is my new problem child. Had it for 3 weeks. 1 week in my possesion, the other 2 in the body shop, mechanic shop, driveline shop. Not a bad way to spend over 3k on the truck you just bought.:argh:

Pulled the tensioner pulley off and swapped just the pulley itself. Cost $18 and the local shop had it. The one on the truck had a little bit of play in the bearings and the surface where the belt rides was worn in pretty good. On the back side right outside of the bearing it was melted from wobbling around too. I also noticed a lot of play on the idler pulley on the top, right in front of the valve cover. When the truck is running its dead straight. Oh well.

The old one is on the top.
