Diesel Bombers - New Superlift Traction Bars Installed!!!

So I just installed my new select series traction bars on my rig and thought it would be a good time and introduce many of you to these bars. Superlift has been making these for a couple years as far as I can tell and they have a very solid traction bar for our trucks. The install took about 2 hours, including the pictures, by myself with simple hand tools, a drill, and some cardboard to lay on.

Install:
Very simple, easy to follow instructions. I ended up welding the front cross member brackets just for piece of mind with 1100 ft lbs of tq on tap, but the do bolt up into four factory drilled holes and two that you drill and tap in the bottom of the frame. The rear mounts with a bracket that bolts to the shock mount and with a single U-bolt that goes around the axle tube. This makes for a VERY solid mounting point and very much in line with the frame railes.

First Impessions:
The truck pulls a bit harder from a dead stop now with out any rear end bind. I have been through a set of u-joints already on the rig because of dumping the clutch from a dead stop and I wanted to alieviate that problem once and for all. As of now, I can say that will be a thing of the past. The truck handles like a dream, feels a bit more stable in corners, and makes use of the rear positrac. The powder coating could have been a bit better, but its a lot better than I have seen on some other traction bars out there for the Furds.

Conclusion:
With them priced very competitivly compared to some other bars out there that are similar. Those considering buying a set of bars, may want to add these guys right to the top of your list. One should be able to aquire these bad boys in the $700 range or less (select series like mine) or the regular bars without the extra hoop for hundreds less.
