looking for advice on checking 05 ram 3500 transmission throttle valve actuator
 
05 Dodge 3500 cummins 6.9. Transmission not shifting properly. Cose says "1754" Transmission Throttle valve actuator stuck. Looking for advice on checking actuator and or replacing it.

that valve is in the valve body it must have a piece of trash or is wedge in from wear:tu:

I took the pan off the trans and dislodged the valve. I don't know what it was but fine now. I put some Lube Guard in to help keepit free. Thanks for the help.

Uhh, no.

The throttle valve qactuator motor is the big silver thing the sits on top of the shift tower, bolted to the outside of the transmission. They will stick or the TV valve in the VB can stick. If its free and working now just watch it. The motors are pretty reliable but sometimes they will fail, or, the bosses on the transmission are off and cause it to jam and fail.
