Air Dog stops running?.goto 10micron?...

Have a 150 air dog on my 03 for only few months. Died while idling 3x's now.:madd: Seems to run fine, but I punched the go pedal and not much throttle response. I live in Northern Mi , temperatures have been down in the 30's and thinking the 3 micron filtre needs changing. Ayone have experience with this? Each time, after shutting off the key and restarting the pump has worked fine, though when the truck dies the pump is not running.
Any experience with this with an air dog? I can hear a lot of extra fuel still running from the overflow line back into the tank. So that makes me wonder if it is the filter.:humm:
I plan to put on a 10 micron when it arrives. But am only assuming this is the problem...
any suggestions out there?:pca1:

running straight fuel or Veggy oil?

diesel pap 10-26-2009 09:15 PM

if you are running a blend of veggy oil, it is waxing. it will do that with a 10 micron too. heat is the only way to keep this from happening. i make bio diesel and when its real cold it still waxes. i would watch this in a 03. it cant be good. they are guys that make a separate tank and run hot water from the eng thru it.

sorry for the confusion. :howdy: Just running a blend of #2 #1 and about 5% bio diesel to add lubrication until temperatures get in mid 20's then I will omit biodiesel altogether. :pca1:

Never would I put beggy oil in this system .... :ph:

so now what would you say.....:humm: :c:

could be just some dirty fuel and just plugged filter.

So what are the filter choices, can you get them in town and how often do you have to change them

veggyoilkid 10-27-2009 06:16 PM

I have a 3 Micron that was supplied. I have an extra 3 Micron that I recently ordered. But now I have ordered 2 10 Micron filters. One to put on now and one for a spare.
Had to order them online from pure flow technologies. about $30 with shipping / filter...Have been told the Fleetgard numbers to find them elsewhere but have not found them anywhere even to order they can't be found.....Makes no sense to me they have to be so difficult to get and expensive.

FF100 FLEETGUARD FF5613 [2 MICRON ]
FF100 FLEETGUARD FF5617 [ 10 MICRON ]
WS100 FLEETGUARD FS19768 [ WATER SEPARATOR ]

I have spent lots of time at Auto Value and Car Quest, unable to match up any numbers.
also called Cummins local diesel shop, have not heard any positive about availibility. :w2:

Not much, 60 hp Industrial Injectors.
Tires and exhaust are next on my list.
Trying to finish my custom front bumper...not there yet.

Any suggestions out there on a good 10 ply tire that's aggressive looking yet not too noisy?
