Why are injectors HP #'s different?
 

Sorry again. I try to find out as much as I can before I ask but I cant find anything on the threads or the internet. So what is the difference between 3rd gen 90hp injectors compared to say 250hp injectors in a 2nd gen 12v or 24v? I just dont understand how 90hp injectors are considered big for a 3rd gen but for the older engines big injectors are 150hp or 200hp. Thanks for the clarification.

Ahhhh that makes a ton of sense!!! I should have thought of that. I feel stupid now...

The common rail injectors at their high pressure cant make quite a bit more factory than say a VP44 injector at lower pressures. So if we increase injector delivery we can make even more.....Not to mention the electronic control of the injector allows us to maximize the efficency of the fueling therefore making more power!

Hey My Chat Friend- Remember 90 horse 3rd gen are 325 horse plus 90 equals 415 horse. 215 horse (2nd gen automatics) plus 200 horse injectors equals 415 horsepower again. Injectors are rated on stock engines and power added horsepower rating. Just think also it is harder to make more power when you start with more in the beginning.

lol then why wouldnt a factory 24V with just injectors and a turbo make 415 RWHP lol
