State Patrol Issues....
Soooo, long story short got pulled over by a Super Trooper gives me warnings for my lack of front plate and tint on the windshield and windows.... Then he proceeds to dip the tank, no prob never ran OR diesel, then he crawls under the truck to check for the muffler and cat... I have a muff no big deal then he says "no cat I see" so I tell him in 03 they weren't equiped. So he proceeds to take my cell number so he can check for himself and "get back to me on the issue". But there is no issue, the truck NEVER came with a CAT! So I need help finding info on how I can prove this wasn't factory equiped b4 the asshat calls me back and sends me a ticket.

Thats easy, any local shop that does inspections will be more than happy to show your there MOTOR emissions book . State law requires that law enforcement and inspection personel follow the manual, It consist of every vehicle type in the great USA, and list what values regarding emissions sensors and what componets came on the vehicle. Plain and simple, State law (any state) basiclly reads if it came on it, it should still be on it!

The DMV man should have one. The information is available through mitchell1 and Alldata as well! Chrysler can also back you up. Did he write you a ticket? If not theres nothing to worry about, he shot himself in the foot by letting you go without a ticket. If he did write you one, Get a written statement from your local dealership stating that your truck's vin indicates that it was not manufactured with converters...He'll turn red and walk out of court with that one!

hummmm
what a bad officer he was....
he gave you a warning on the plate and tint... then wanted to verify that he was correct before he enforced the Cat. and since he let you go if you did need one he would probably just call and let you know you need one...
I hate all those cop that waste my time with a warning... they are all bad...
I wish they would just write the ticket so when people talk about them they have something to actually complain about...
