Default 05 5.9 missing and lots of blowby

Just seeing what kind of input I can get from here. Truck has a dead miss till it warms up some and then not really sure it goes completely away. Theres also alot of blowby comeing through the exhaust. I'm thinkin maybe a busted ring but like I said before... some of you guys know alot more than I do.

Sounds like an injector went, and brought a cylinder with it (scored). See how much oil is in the crankcase.

That was my next guess. I appreciate the input. Those are sleeved cylinders just like the p pumps right?

They might be. All I know is that they want you to get an entire engine for a cost of $10,000. But it does come with a 100k warranty.

to be exact they told me it was 12,000 but i got it replaced under warrenty and if they replace it under warrenty you only get the remaing of the 100,000 on the vehicle. But be careful mine goes in tomorrow for the 6th time cause they can't figure out why it is using antifreeze and 2 quarts of oil to every 500 miles, and i only have about 4500 miles on it

When the dealer ( cummins mechanic) looked at mine when it blew he told me that he could not sleeve the cylinders on these 5.9L?

I know you can on the old older ones but I aint got this one tore down yet. If there is enough meat on the walls my buddy will machine it out till a sleeve will fit in it. Then machine the sleeve to stock. We do that alot on old mustangs. Especially the clevelands. Just need the injector.

You can find new stock injectors on ebay.
