Satellite Radio-hard wired
Anybody have satellite radio wired direct instead of using that dumb antenna were you always have interference? I pulled the radio on my 05 and there is a place to plug something in...what I have no idea.
I don't know if they make adapters that plug into the existing antenna port and splices off to wire in the satellite or not?
Any ideas would be great.

I have a factory unit in my 06 with sirius built in. I do not use it however, but they were an option. The plug on the back is for a direct imput like a i-pod or similar. I bet that you would be able to plug the sirius into it.
yeah if you go to a radio shack or similiar store, they should be able set you up with the right wire to plug into the back or your radio...if you had an aftermarket head unit usually alot of them have a AUX plug in the front and that is where you can plug the radio or whatever you want to listen to in
The best way I've found to integrate XM or Sirius into a factory radio that isn't set up to run sat radio is a product called 'FM direct'.
Its about 25 bucks and is an XM product made by Audiovox (they make one specifically for Sirius radios as well). You'll need an antenna adapter specifically made for newer chrysler vehicles as well to mate the box to the radio.
Essentially it plugs in line with your antenna wire to the radio and forces itself over whatever channel you have the fm modulator on the sat radio set to. Works really well, no static whatsoever.
I've got one in my 03 Ram and in my girl's 05 Liberty.
Here's a link to where I got mine:

Best Buy carries them as well, but not the antenna adapter you need.
