Just curious does the 03's have them and do they come out easily? Does it hurt performance at all?

i think all cummins pretty much have em dont no bout ford or those dont play with those . you can have it out in ten mits top and put back together. pull off the tube pop the ring out easy as that. i use a skinny small flat head to get it started and have a bigger flat head to put under the snap ring so it wont get away

I didnt notice any change in performance. Was worth it though! If you have an aftermarket cold air intake it will be like twice as loud too

Couldnt wait till the weekend, took out the ring before work, took 5 min to get the ring out and another 2 too take the guts out. I dont have an aftermarket intake but the sound is well...... Its not overly obnoxious on the interstate either thanks for the info guys
