Default who has dealt with warranty hassle on there truck

i got an 05 dodge that has had mods on it. it recently started acting up. blow by extremely bad and idling rough and white smoking but just at idle. ive returned the truck completely back to stock even my exhaust and was wondering if they could tell if i had anything on it. i had a smarty and edge juice stacked and stage 3 injector pump, high tech turbo. just wondering if anyone has gone through what im going through now. thanks

So you wrecked it and now you want someone else to pay? Sounds like a good deal.

So you built your truck up well above stock and it goes boom and now you want them to warranty it?

But to answer your question Smarty can't tell, Edge leaves a small trail that they can find, CP3 maybe, depends on how bad the injectors look. They even tell the techs in a 2 page TSB on how to test and check if the trucks been modded.

i had stock injectors in it. and had a smarty and edge. it was strictly for pulling. never raced it or nothing. i was pulling a tractor about a mile from the house and i shifted into fourth and when i came to a stop it was idling rough and white smoking. so thats why i dont think it was the mods that messed it up.

You gotta Pay to Play.

I blew my HG at 35,8xx and fixed it myself. Sometimes you have to be responsible and own up to problems caused by your actions.

Why should Chrysler pay for your fun.

Under the Magnuson Moss Act the dealership has to prove in writting that the aftermarket parts did the damage. When the egr went out on my dads 6.0 they tried to void the warranty but they started singing to a different tune once he said he wanted proof under that act that his edge took out the egr. Take it in and see if you'll be covered.

ive never been through anything like that. since you have already
done the work to remove the hotrod pieces, you may as well take
it and see what happens. the worst they can say is no and warranty
goes nighty night.

what do you think may have happened if it wasnt the mods ?
were your egt's high or anything noticable happen just before
it started smoking ?

While I'm still thinking about it... To me, from the white smoke, it sounds like a blown headgasket or a egr cooler problem but that truck doesn't have an egr
