Default can anyone answer this one

just wired up a smoke switch on my 06 today, and when i push the switch instead of it telling the monitor on the edge w/ attitude that the boost is 0 it actually set the high boost alarm off which i have set at 45psi, it does not throw any codes and does smoke pretty well, is this normal with the edge on the 4 wire map sensors. i used wires c and d to make up the connection, any suggestions or has anyone heard of this before

I really could not tell you though but i have heard bad things about the smoke switch. All that i have heard was it screws up the map sensor or something like that.I would highly recomend getting rid of the smoke switch.

if your edge reads boost off ther map it will read high cause the switch tells the map it has full boost allowing the full fueling there for your high boost reading. also i too have heard a lot of bad news on the 3rd gens with smokeswitches
