The few I have seen who post after trying them out on 2004.5 and newer trucks say they don't cool the coolant very well thus you wind up with high coolant temp when towing on anything other then flat ground.

Yup, don't pull enough CFM for towing applications. The factory setup is great IMO. Not unless your going for every ounce of mpg you can get from a daily drive non tow vehicle or all out horse power like race applications. I wouldn't even mess with it. :pca1:

Do you have tyhe Mopar cold weather front for your truck? I got one for my truck and it made a huge difference this year.

ive got stainless inserts for the grill from my experence it works better then the cold front and they look better

Red_Rattler 04-22-2009 12:05 AM

the mopar cold front goes under the hood so it looks factory from the outside.

I've got the flexalite setup and its works 10x better than factory under very heavy loads, I would not give it up for anything. If anybody cant keep their truck cool they set it up wrong, I don't remember the numbers, but I seem to remember it pulling more CFM than factory, plus it looks great under the hood.
