Any head porting out there?

I've searched and found nothing on head porting. Anyone do port work and have results or any good stories of results? Recommendations for those to use for port work?

Porting

Unless you plan on milling your intake off, you can only port your exhaust side
and bowls. If your Head is off take one of your gaskets and match it to a
port. Take a black marker and color inside of gasket. When you pull gasket
away all of your marker needs to come off. Die grinder. Do the same with
your manifold. The top of the bowls are bad, just blend with rest of bowl.
I should have asked what kind of truck before I answered this.

This sounds easy, but to do it the right way it will take some time.
There are shops that do porting, but because of the time it takes
it wont be cheap.

Well, I'm going for it. Bigger valves and a port job. Heck, I'll throw a cam at it as well. :choochoo:

I had my Head o-ringed, decked, cam install by TRE diesel. Tim Barber.
I don't think you can get it done anywhere cheaper. At Fall Brawl
Tim made 1049 hp diesel only.

Talked with Tim the other day. He was busy, after hours, across the country and still took time to return call and did not rush me off the phone. He seemed to hold my best interests to heart. So far I would say he is top notch. :U:
