I think it's a great idea. I would keep the stock one on there though just for added pressure.

You will have a lot more money in buying carters and holly's repeatedly ,

I really dont know what cheap pump lasts the longest , maybe the Carter Campaign Pump ?

I've been beating my truck to death with a FASS for over 3 years now and it does a thorough job of it.

What about a PPE pump, they are around $240 and are rated for diesel. Basically a Holley Blue with seals made for diesel? Less than $400 for a AirDog or FASS. They are fully adjustable and are preset at 12 PSI from the factory. I've had good luck with them on the Dmax.
