Death wobble AGAIN.
Been chasing this problem on and off since I have owned the truck. I replace or upgrade a part and it goes away for a while then bam out of no where it comes back. 06 2500 4" lift, upgraded to 2010 steering links, added steering box brace, New shocks, ball joints, adjustable track bar with synergy elastomeric bushings and have recently tried 2 different sets of tires. Garage aligned it once, paid for alignment once. I have noticed that if I can give it a quick turn to the right just before a bump it will.prevent it. Planning to rebalance the tires in the next couple of days but I'm at my wits end on where to go.next.

Hi, I had the same problem also. Replaced everything except one thing. Took it in to a old timer, and he pulled the steering damper off, stuck it in a vice, pulled the shaft in and out, untill the fourth pull the shaft went back in with no pressure to stop it.at all. it went in about half way till there was any pressure. He said it was foaming inside, and bypassing. He told me to put a Bilstine 5100 Damper on. I did that and havent had a wiggle or jiggle at all since. There was a slight pull to the right, but he set the Caster a little ahead, and I have no problems at all. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Thanks I will give it a try, the damper is the stock dodge unit I got new when I put the 2010 steering links on it

No Problem. He told me that if there is any spot in the Damper where it loses pressure, that would be enough to start the Wobble, and because it is so great, as we know, it would not be able to stop it. When I got the truck 2 years ago the Damper was replaced, so that is why I never thought I needed a new one.

He also told me that a sandard damper has pressure on one side of the valve, and when the shaft moves in and out the oil and pressure moves from one side of the piston to the other. But on a Bilstein Damper there is pressure already on both sides of the piston, and the valve controls the pressure.I know this because when I installed it on one end and cut the retaining cord I had a very hard time pushing it back in to hook up the other end!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got it. I had to put a lot of positive caster in it. Almost have the cam bolts maxed out on the lower arms but it is gone.

Glad to here that. I hope it is gone for good for you.
