Need injectors

Hi I have a 2003 Dodge Ram Cummins
I need to buy some injectors I was looking at the Sinister brand reman injectors # SD-712-501. I heard that brand new injectors are better but they're too expensive to buy I'm kind of on a budget. Has anybody ran the Sinister injectors? Do you guys have any other recommendations on what injectors to buy?

You may save coin on remans now, but it could cost you a melted piston later down the road. Check out injectors direct for new injectors. I believe they are just under $2000

Ok I will check them out. Thank you

Reman injectors are essentially a used injector- give jkidd a shout at Diesel Auto Power and let him know you're on the forum. He had the best rates around when I bought mine

So question based on injectors...Do most people replace their own? Is it hard? I've never done it but when the time comes am I taking her in or is it something I could do myself?

you can replace them your self, but you want to be VERY, VERY clean about it. then make sure they are installed correctly and torqued to spec.

I did mine myself - I would say I'm a decent shade tree mechanic but never done anything like them before. Took me about 7 hours taking my sweet time. There are some good videos online. I would find instructions from who you purchase them from and print em out. Only "special" tool you need is a torque wrench and a set of crows feet are handy. It'll save ya a bunch doing it yourself!

Thanks for the info on DAP.
I sent jKidd a message about pricing on his injectors and I am waiting on his reply. Talk to the guys at Sinister Diesel about their sinister reman injectors. They say that they use some of GB Parts to remanufactured there injectors and they are assembled and flow tested in house before they are ship out. I can't find no reviews on Sinister injectors?

do not get remanned injectors. remans have a much higher failure rate then new injectors. even bosch with there millions of dollars worth of machines, clean rooms and sticky floors still have more failed remans then new their new injectors. also make sure you get the correct injectors with the 143* spray pattern. i know you said money is tight, but it is a good ideal to put new feed tubes in. https://www.injectorsdirect.com/prod...uel-injectors/
