Steering linkage update
Have and 06 Ram 2500 4x4 and just bought the 08.5+ steering linkage update. I have the bilsteins dual stabilizer installed on my truck and wondering if it'll still work with the linkage update.

I'm not sure- BUT if it doesn't and you need a buyer for your duals let me know!

You will need to modify the bracket that attaches to the drag link or buy a new one. The t-type steering has a much larger drag link than the y-type.

About the draglink being much longer, I had the kit installed, took it to an alignment shop yesterday & I was told they could not get it perfectly aligned because the draglink is too long and they already have the tie rod end maxed out? Can you not perfectly align with the update?

Yes, it can be perfectly aligned. Obviously they are missing something.
The tie rod is what I meant is larger that OE. The drag link is longer because it connects in a different spot. However, using all the correct parts should be no issue aligning. The tie rod adjustment is for toe in, the drag link adjustment is for centering the steering wheel. Neither of those will impact toe, caster, or camber. Cannot fathom what they are talking about. |

Nope, I had to buy a new kit. Maybe if you call Bilstein they can source your the correct bracket?
