07 5.9 trouble code p2146
I was pulling my fifth wheel travel trailer up a steep incline and check engine light came on and I lost all power. I got it off the road and it would idle but not enough power to pull the trailer. I got it down and check engine light then went off and it ran perfect. In January I had the same problem. Only I got an additional code at that time of p0202 as well as the p2146. I've done my fair share of research and it seems to point towards the valve cover gasket harness as well as injector number 2. I've heard of people just changing the solenoid on the injector to correct this issue as it seems to be on the electrical side and not the mechanical side of the injector. So I'm wondering the pros opinion on if it would be okay if I just changed the solenoid on injector 2 along with the gasket harness? Is my thinking correct as far as that being on the electrical side and not the mechanical side of the injector? It seems if it was the mechanical side of the injector it would run bad and possibly not throw a code? Both times after it sat for a bit the problem corrected itself. But it's a risk I can't take pulling a trailer up that hill with my family I'm going to get killed. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Sounds like your on the right track- I would check connectors at wiring harness and unhook batteries to reset the truck- if you wanted to dig a little deeper then pull the valve cover and check connectors on injectors 1-3...seems like electrical issues (not shocked face):nshock:

Yeah that's a good idea. When I get the valve cover off I'll check one through three. I guess the resistance should be between 0 and 1?

Correct- depending how sensitive your meter is- anything more than 1.2ohms will throw the CEL/cause issues

also ohm your injectors as well. here is a factory service manual where you can get that info. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/81mtpw6h2...dZOLxp5ja?dl=0
