Multiple codes please help
Hey guys I am having some issues I have a 2005 dodge cummins all stock except for 4" exhaust. When I drive like a grandpa my truck runs great when I hammer on it it falls on its face sometimes even dies, and won't restart unless I unhook my battery? It's popping multiple codes
P0336 crank positioning sensor ( replaced )and still showing code P2146 bank 1 P2149 bank 2 P2509 power down data P0088 high fuel rail pressure Please help super frustrated |
Check grounds/connections- I had my truck stop running/no start and every light on imaginable a few days ago. I cleaned battery terminals (no change) and cleaned TIPM (fuse box connection) which did the trick. These trucks are super picky about those connections!

Thanks for the response. ..I'm not sure what the TIPM is can you give me a little more info
|
He is referring to the Integrated Power Module a fancy word for fuse box LOL. Don't you just love engineers hahaha.
|
Thanks I will try it....keep everyone posted
|
Sorry- like he said it's the power cord for the fuse box, connection is to the left if you are looking over the drivers side fender. There will be power from the battery so you may want to unhook positive terminal to prevent some sparks if using a wire brush! Good luck!

Just an update....cleaned the wire from the battery to the fuse box still no change ...had my injectors tested 5 out of 6 were bad so I bought 6 new injectors....still no change
Please any other suggestions |
Dang- have you checked the wiring harness that connects next to the fuel rail? Front when looking under the hood does cylinders 1-3 And back 4-6- These would probably been removed during injector install but may not have been cleaned. Check for nicks in the wires or crud on the connectors. From what I've read the harness isn't happy with the signal coming from computer- the electrical systems on these things are very finicky with power/grounds. couple links below to check out

Update.....finally fixed there is a solenoid (not sure what it's called) on the passenger side under the air box next to the battery. There is a cable from there down to the ECM
that had a bad connection Thanks for all the help |
Glad you solved it! Not sure what goodies you have on your truck but look to upgrade your filtration to protect your new injectors if you haven't already! :choochoo:
