What Driveshaft Do I Have?
I am trying to determine what rear driveshaft is in my wife's truck so that I can purchase the proper u-joints and carrier bearing.
2006 2500 Megacab 4X4 G56 2 piece rear driveshaft Part #: 52123105AA Subassembly #: 40036203 Serial #: 32850074A I can't find this info anywhere. 1410, 1480, 1485, something else??? Really appreciate any help!! |
Your local parts store should be able to determine this with the information you have.

Found the info I was looking for.
Contacted a few local dealers and they all gave me the same info. It would appear that I have the AAM 1485 2 piece driveshaft. Driveshaft part#: 52123105AA Carrier/Center bearing MOPAR: 5183075AC AAM: 40041712 which has been replaced by 40048725 U-Joint MOPAR: 5102157AE AAM: 74081485 Spicer: 5-3206X Moog: 351A Got the driveshaft out and found the slip yoke at the carrier bearing is damaged from the broken u-joint. Slip Yoke AAM: 40038564 Of course the dealer wanted some crazy stupid price so I went elsewhere. Had some coupons so got 3 Moog Premium u-joints for $81 total. Found the AAM bearing for $52 and the yoke for $68. Reference: Part# Assembly 52123105AA | American Axle & Manufacturing | Aftermarket OE Parts John W Cookson Company |
Sounds like you got it all worked out. Good deal.
