06 24v cummins oil level rising fast.
I just bought a 2006 dodge 3500. Oil level was good when i looked at the truck but now after an oil change and driving the truck regularly the oil level is climbing and fairly fast. I will be taking a sample in to be analyzed to be positive its fuel in the oil but i
suspect it is because if it where coolant it would be obvious. After a 10 km drive and letting the truck cool down the oil level went up approx. 1/2" on the dip stick So naturally i assumed it was one or more bad injector and i was planning on pulling them ALL tomorrow and getting them tested/visually inspecting them. The truck runs fine seems to have lots of power and doesnt take a long time to crank over... My question is.. is it possible the injector pump is the culprit and where should i start to trouble shoot this problem. I am mechanically inclined but am by no means a mechanic and this is my first diesel. Thanks for the help |
Give Todd at T&C diesel a call! Google him! Tell him Andy is still waiting on his PRV! LOL

Sounds like the injectors. A guy I recently met had the exact same symptoms. He had 126K on them. A GDP Big Line Kit is on it's way. Glacier Diesel Power | Diesel Performance Truck Parts | Dodge Cummins Ford Duramax | - Product Detail
