input on inputs

Hey everyone,

First thread new here first diesel also. Looking for wisdom I'm quickly approaching

transmission replacement.Started to slip in 2nd just a little but slip none the less. I have

found several options to say the least most prices are close in price what is actually

needed for reliability (ie billet shafts, tripple disc converter ect.) Truck Has 5" exhaust ,afe

cold air, plans for programmer and intercooler upgrade. towing less than 12000lbs.

Any advice /opinions welcomed

:argh:

Welcome to Diesel Bombers!
IMO Firepunk is one of the greatest transmission builder out there, call them and ask for Lavon Miller.
I advise to get the trans done correctly the first time.
As far as programmers/tuners, what are your power goals?

robbyS 11-11-2014 02:14 PM

goals are modest maybe another 150hp looking either banks 6gun or EFI live tuning there is a shop in town for the EFI live.My plan is to do it right once and be done just not sure if i will need the billet input shaft of if stock will be fine they are kinda pricey if its not needed, but again im looking for reliability

To my knowledge EFI Live is not available for the 2005 model as of yet.
and IMO any banks tuner is a waste of time, you would like a smarty, or the edge juice with attitude.

Like i said give Lavon a call tell him Jake from diesel bombers sent you and he will set you up with what you need.
