crunch behind steering wheel then airbag light
Hey guys
Im having some issues with my truck. last week i changed out my steering gearbox and my wheel was off center. I thought i might have been 360 degrees off with it so i pulled it off and rotated it 60 degrees. it was still crooked but turned left and right fine. when i was backing into a parking spot I heard a crunch behind the wheel and my airbag light came on. I dont think its the clock spring because everything else like cruise control and blinkers still turn on. anyone have any ideas on what I could have frigged up? thanks Will |
Be careful it could blow up in your face! Pull the fuse asap! Something didn't go back together right take it aprt and inspect!

Thanks for the response Fuse is pulled. I didn't take anything apart behind the wheel. Just at the gear gear box. My blinkers no longer turn off on thier own either. I do however still have a horn and cruise control. Is there two clock springs, one for the air bag and one for the rest of the wheel electronics?

Pulled the wrong fuse. Anyone know what number fuse it is?

I thought you said you pulled the wheel to reposition? Put it back where it was and align at the gear box. Find center then be sure the wheel is straight! Fuse google search!
