Hi everyone so im buying my buddies smarty next week and my pickup has some sort of tune on it from when i bought it i called the local shop over here and he told me i need to reflash it back to stock before tuning it which doesnt bother me he wants 100 bucks to do it but he said about 1in50 pickups he reflashes something goes haywire and he has to replace some module which adds about $300 does that all sound correct to you guys

 

NO! Take it to the dealer 60 bucks. If something goes wrong they have the ability to resync the other modules to the ECM or PCM
