PULLIN MY HAIR OUT OVER A CP3
I'm about half-way through the process of rebuilding an 05 Cummins 5.9L HO engine capable of producing approx. 600HP. My question is this:
Cummins states that their stock CP3 will be more than capable of handling 600HP, and they are NOT recommending a CP3 modification/upgrade; however, I have read on this blog and other diesel blogs that the CP3 needs to be modified anywhere from 17% to 85%, increasing the fueling capabilities. So which one is it? Stock? 17% increase? 85% increase? Those are huge disparities! Opinions are nice and certainly welcome, but I'd like to hear from the guys running at or near 600HP. Please and thank you. |
