WMO in a CR... whos done it

ive been running wmo or black diesel in my 97 cummins for several years. it runs fantastic, yes shes a little cold natured in 35* and colder but after 60 seconds she puffs away on 80/20. this has worked great for so I know it can be done. that being said unless you have actually ran wmo in a vehicle please keep all nay saying to yourself. I have come across a smoking deal on a 04.5 cclb4x4 so I couldn't pass it up. has anybody ever ran wmo in a common rail, either a duramax or a cummins, and possibly a 6.7 ford. how did you do it? I centrifuge so that is a must for me, but what was your mix, mods to your truck? two tank or single? plan on an upgraded lift pump, but did you run heaters? im really leaning to do this even if I cant find someone else doing it, one reason is I have a pinging injector and additive isn't correcting it so if it does damage the injectors, at least they are on some that are already have issues.

I won't say don't do it. But a gentleman that I've done some work for ran waste oil/diesel mix in his 96 and had no trouble. Tried in his 05 and was putting injectors in 5000mi later. Just be careful might get expensive.

yup you will waste the injectors! AND the CP3! A two micron filter is needed for a reason!

Maybe you missed where he says he centrifuges. That's sub-micron filtering, brothah.

After much skepticism and a lot of convincing, I got my dad to try some of my W85 in his 04 CR. He still won't run it in the winter, but he's going on 3 years (about 110 gallons a summer) running it. No problems to report and I don't centrifuge, just settle, 5 mic, 2mic and a water separator.

Yeah missed that! But at thousands versus saving hundreds. Let alone Filters get wasted by the minute running waste oil through them and the mess and sub micron metals and soot that does get by that's why it's black. But hey each to his own worth it no, fun to do sure if you have the time and money for cases of filters! In the old days just pour it in the tank tolerances were huge and didn't care about a little soot and metal but todays standards are tight and even a micron of dirt or whatever will cause wear and failure. Just got to look at both sides! I blew a set of injectors in 5000 miles trying something similar!
WASN'T WORTH IT! :c:

Over the yrs many people have tried it. Most of the results were not good.

Seems to be a few reading comprehension issues in this thread.

Yeah, there are some "comprehension" problems all right, the most obvious is comprehending WHY do something so utterly ridiculous. LMAO!!

Since the OP hasn't done it and was asking for advice there is probably a reason why he got nothing for answers in 3 months.

"I have not done but don't tell me why it won't work". Yeah, that will garner a lot of coherent responses. :choochoo:

so i know this thread is old but just wanted to say that for the record ive been running since mid july and now ive got 8,000+ miles, with no issues and im getting about 22 mpg hand calculated. so just sayin it can be done.
