Default My truck hates me

My 06 cummins had an fcm internal and left trailer overcurrent code. Dealer said replace tipm, so i did. Now 1223 and 0248 codes are coming up. Wait to start light comes on and it looses power. What could the problem be? Fp is normal 6500 at idle wide open is around 22k. Truck runs fine untilthe light comes on.

That was an expensive fix! Did they flash it for your truck? I would take it back to the dealer let them figure it out! The light on is causing the engine to go into safe mode. Either clear the codes or disconnect the batteries to clear it but the main cause needs to be trouble shot!

302 for a remain tipm. Wastegate code was a broken wire at the actuator. I would assume the tipm came with the newest flash. I guess ill have to run by the stealership tomorrpw and hook it up quick.

Just for giggles, try cleaning up all of your ground cables/ wires. Good electrical contact is crutial to keeping your tipm and ecm happy. Start with battery cables and move on to all ground wires you can find in the engine bay. There are several. This is simple and doesnt cost anything but a little time.

The 1223 is a leak detection DTC that was probably loaded whne they replaced the TIPM. You have a problem in the fuel delivery system somewhere, most likely injectors.

The P0248 is a WG actuator code indicating the WG controller is probably bad.
