05 5.9 cummins rebuild
Hey guys, so I bought a 05 dodge 3500 about a week and a half ago from a dealership with 138k, I feel I got a good price on it and it's a very clean Laramie, well the day I took it home the right rear caliper seized and got the rotor glowing, so the next dy I took it in and they replaced both rear caliper pads and rotors free of charge, also I was getting smoke from under the hood so they replaced the blowby "filter". Three days later I got the truck back, drove it for two days and one morning when I woke up to start it it fired and ran very rough and was billowing clouds of white smoke, called the dealer an told then I wanted to take it to my local diesel shop, some friends of mine own it, they said it'd be for, turns out I have wasted rings in three cylinders and three bad injectors. I bought a really good extended warrenty that is supposed to cover a full engine rebuild basically and injectors and I'm keeping my fi gets crossed that they honor that, now what I'm wondering is since I will have the whole motor torn down or a rebuild are there and little tips that I Gould do while it's apart? I'm having arp studs Installed and 50hp Injectors but anything internal? I have built many gassrs and I've always liked to clean up castings in the heads or help out the oiling system, any known problems?
