Cold weather in southwest ohio
Anyone else live here? Do you plug your truck in? How long? It's supposed to be -12f here yikes!!!
South of Hamilton . I would all night long , can't hurt and you have a warm truck in the mourning!:choochoo:
How much power does the heater use in an hour? Any idea
If I plugged mine in every night from 6 till 6 $30.00 a month or about a dollar a day.
Oh that's not bad at all. Much cheaper then letting your truck run for twenty minutes to warm up
Very true and it's easier for the engine .
well i can say after plugging it in for an hour and running it for 20 minutes the temp gauge was only an 1/8 inch off the left side. It still was blowing cold air. -2f is terrible.
Plug it in!
Ok so I plugged it in for two hours at work and it was up to normal running temp and still would not blow hot air. The heater just worked yesterday
if you have the option to plug it in when its that cold out do it, i just moved and its street parking :argh: (Hershey, PA) were getting some negatives here now too and my truck is also wishing it could be plugged in
well guys I plugged it in all night and even took the long way to work. the temp was up to 200-210 and still wouldn't spit out hot air could something be frozen?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Ok so I figured out what was wrong. I brought my truck into the shop today and opened up the coolant..... slush!!!!!!!!! it is now getting flushed. |
Yikes that's not good!!! I also live in Ohio. Near Hamilton. I rarely plug mine in because I drive my car. Lol.
