Stuck in Chicago...

Well on Tuesday I ran all the way to Chicago to visit the girl friend and her parents... unfortunately as soon as I shut off the truck... everything working like a champ. I went inside and like a typical woman my girlfriend decides she wants to go to her friends for new years. I went to start my truck and it was loping really bad then would fall on her face and die. start it back up and the same thing... I checked it for codes and had 8 pop up.. I had p2269, po340, po341, po652, po192, p2509, p2121. This morning I woke up started just fine and after a couple mins it did it again. one thing I noticed was that the tach went all the way to zero and when I was able to rev it up it didn't do anything then popped to 1500 rpms and then back to zero... Im not understanding the water in fuel code... or any of this. I could fix it but im on a tight budget and I don't have all my tools here in Chicago than in my shop whos had this problem and what the hell is going on? :argh: :scare2:

Water in fuel code is set when water is found in the filter. Open the drain to let it out and run the lift pump before starting it. Too cold now, water will be frozen unless you can get it inside a shop/garage.

If you got a bad batch of fuel your screwed till the spring when it thaws out! Seriously though plug in your block heater! Or get it inside where it's warmer. Below zero will just make everything freeze and your fuel will gel. A Radiant heater under the tank might help.
Also check your battery connections a bad ground will cause your issues with the guages!

You know last night I was on the throne.... and it hit me... maybe this is what your saying but is it possible that there is water in my fuel and it's messing with my fca? Maybe it's causing the fuel to either gel in there or its maybe icing up in there? It might be a long shot I ordered a fca and it's coming in on monday.... but I might try cleaning it today and see what happens.

Because my truck has all the symptoms of a bad fca. Runs perfect for about 30 seconds then starts acting goofy.

Unplug it see if it fires up!

How does that test it?
